As big a world there is outside, there is world probably larger inside a human. In our hopes and travails, in our dreams and dread, the undulating life keeps on trying to find a meaning. Humans are if not anything are explorers. Hence I explore humanity in my art.
The lonely Arctic tern (Sterna paradisaea) migrates from Greenland/arctic to Antarctica almost one part of the world to another over 30 year life span. The bird has a freedom to choose to migrate why don’t humans have the same right? This art poses questions on our achievements as humans the so called most worthy species of human race.

The words written at the base of 152 feet tall Lady Liberty by poet Emma Lazarus read: "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free ... I lift my lamp beside the golden door." are still heartfelt of today's diverse population of New York City. In all New Yorkers can speak more than 200 languages.
Different colors in the painting into me means the different ethnicities, cultures, genders and personalities of the world which are absorbed in the New York just like the color black absorbs all colors. It is the diversities that exist among us that paint the world colorful and a place worth living. After all, in total new yorkers can speak more than 200 languages out of 6,500 spoken languages of the world.

The Israeli West Bank barrier or wall is a separation barrier built by the Israeli government in the West Bank.
Though this Israel's barrier, still under construction, is expected to reach at least 403 miles in length (650 kilometers) which is more than 4 times longer than the historical Berlin wall.A hallmark of the conflict has been the level of violence witnessed by the community of Israel and Palestine.
This painting was inspired by the mystique largest temple complex in the world at Bagan in Myanmar.

Mahatma Gandhi said that there are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread. Today we have 1 in 7 people hungry and we waste one-third of the food we produced.

LGBTQ youth often face discrimination, violence, and mental trauma from people around them. Often their family and friends are also unable to understand them.
Often, their parents and teachers also don't understand how to communicate effectively with the youth. It could be due to a lack of awareness as well as due to inherent bias and prejudices.
This gender-neutral faceless painting could be a tool where youth, as well as parents, can fill in the meaning, tone, and emotions for the person and make them talk about what they see in the painting.
This painting can hold different meanings for different people at different times. Every time you see the piece, it can talk a different story depending on your experiences of the moment.
Betrayal and the battered soul
Doubt, fear, and silence accompany the pain caused by betrayal. It is the trust that is betrayed. Most often than not, in abusive relationships, it is not just the body that is bruised but the soul suffers as well.
Ironically in this suffering one doubts the self, one fears her own actions and one silences oneself first. It is these emotions that I wanted to explore through this piece.
A woman's doubt, her fears, her silence, and troubling chaos. The chaos that finds home in her heart and her soul. The chaos that envelops her battered body. Leaving only silence and tears that stop flowing anymore.

Mermaids are one among the most admired mythical creature from the legends across the world. “The little Mermaid” can be identified as a person with walking disabilities on the ground. But the way she is capable of finding the pearl from the depth of oceans no one else is. This painting is an effort to make viewers question their beliefs and perceptions on disabilities. Is the so-called disability (be it physical or mental) is a disability, or it's merely the inability to see the ability of a person.
There is no greater disability in society than the failure to see a person as more.

Relationships serve the purpose of life going beyond the companionship they give us insight towards a range of emotions and judgments. These relationships help us grow as an individual seeing the experiences thyself in comparison or contrast with others. My paintings are trying to capture the subtle and vivid emotions in the process that make us more complete.
The couple meets right at the center where both acquire qualities of each other (Colors are swapped: Girl is now Blue and Boy Green) wrapped in mystique purple. Creating a mystery who will be taking next move.

Life around us is divided in those that stand and wait for their moment like a zen master and those that make their moments. Plants and trees around us are epitome of zen.
This painting is an exploration of texture and complexities imbued in a tree trunk whose value is increased proportionally to its age. “Dendrochronology” is the science to calculate the age of a tree by analyzing the annual lines on a tree trunk which symbolically is similar to assessing our (human) age by analyzing the wrinkles.
Old trees not only host birds and animals for nesting, food, and shelter but also make the land more fertile by absorbing more and more carbon from the environment as they grow old. They bind the soil and nurture the environment wherever they exist. Exactly like the elders in our family.
Whose mere existence around us make the surroundings more beautiful and wishful by each passing day.
Medium & Technique : Wax, The seemingly random lines are drawn by dragging molten wax by metallic tools.

Abstract, true to emotions and far away from literalism of daily life. Emotions seldom come with a label or a hashtag. Hence, words often fail to keep up with emotions, leaving a gap between what a mind thinks and what it decides to express literally. My abstract work is an attempt to fill that gap.

The inspiration for this painting is drawn from the unique abilities of the human brain as discussed in one of the lectures I attended by Steven Pinker. See it yourself, you can see a gray dot appear and disappear (when you concentrate) at intersections When a person keeps his or her eyes directly on a single intersection, the dark dot does not appear. Trying to pose the question do all that we see is real?
Animals play huge roles in our lives. They aid in self-discovery and capture our imagination, giving us incredible avenues of self-expression and awareness.
